Color me RED

A friend cum reader asked a question to me that why do i crop my face in the photograph that i post on the blog? while i share the photograph over the facebook page.
Actually there are two reasons for this. First, that concerns me more, is the misuse of pictures. I had faced this issue when orkut just started and did not had any security settings (if you have joined at that time, you must have an idea how bad it was), I posted some group photographs with my friends on my profile and a guy(whom i didn't know) downloaded the pics and posted them in his profile. Once we post something on the web, we have shared it to the whole world and even if we remove it from our profile, its still can be there somewhere. As i told over the blog here, i take time to open up with people and over the web, its all virtual and i don't who all is visiting the blog, i am just avoiding that. May be with time, i will get more confident on sharing the stuff over the web. I know you must be thinking, if i am so afraid of all this, why don't i stop blogging. Buts that's me.. :) I have posted my complete pics before here and here, its just like i play safer.
Secondly, most of the time, my face comes in weird/funny expressions in the pics so i just crop them too... ;). See i am sleeping again in the pics.

This is what i wore the other day for shopping, followed by the dinner. A very basic and comfy outfit containing tunic and tights with some accessories.

I tried to fill the color in the outfit with red tights and accessories.I think they made the outfit a success.
Tunic: W, tights, neckpiece : Westside, bangles : Yebhi
wedges: Inch-5

A closer look of the bangles.

With time i start getting the pain with the heals and switch back to the comfy ballerina.
Super cute ballerina : Gift from mom

Do you also feel the same on web privacy?

Wrong Perceptions : Who cares

Does it happened to you that the people have some wrong perceptions about you and think exactly opposite to your personality? It has happened to me quiet a few times. However someone's thinking really do not affect me but still before one dont know me how can they judge or make perceptions about me.

A couple of years back, one of my close friend told me that in the very first few initial meeting, she thought that i have got a lot of attitude and it's going to tough to be with me. But when we started knowing each other, she found me completely different. I  gel up with people easily but when it comes to approach some one personally for the first time or in initial conversations, i hesitate to take the first step. But once i get in touch with one, i try to maintain our relationship loyally.
The other thing is, if i do not find a frequency match in thinking with someone, i try to maintain a distance between us. So that even if we do not agree on some point, we can share a healthy relationship. If you think this as i am giving you attitude, i don't care. I don't want to waste my time thinking in all these craps.
Recently i got to know that one of my colleagues was telling someone else the same thing. I have communicated him multiple times and found that we think exactly in two opposite directions which made me to communicate with him on very required  topics. If he so thinks that we can be friend, why don't he talk to me directly.

Initially, when i leaned that what someone is talking about me on my back, i used to get annoyed as he/she is trying to ruin my name in public but after a few times, i realize, who knows me will not believe the other one and who  don't know me why the hell should i explain this to them.
Now I am a person who really don't care what image people have about me and live the life as i want it to be like a free bird... ;)
Did you face the same thing ever?

IIFA Awards 2011

Here are some pictures from the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2011 held on  June 25 in Toronto, Canada. I see a lot of pics/news on the internet about the event and their  style that i can not help commenting on them.
White and nude shades seemed dominated in the event.

Genelia D'souza
Genelia D'souza in a gown designed by Gaurav gupta. I absolutely love the color and the frilly deign. Her knotted hair make suits to the overall look. I so love this girl and carries everything very beautifully.

Shilpa Shetty with her Husband Raj Kundra.
She, in a sequined Dolce & Gabbana gown, makes one of my favorite  dressed celebrities in the iifa. It perfectly kisses all the curves so well.

Malaika Arora Khan
She was spotted looking fab as always in a cut-out Monisha Jaising gown and Maheep Kapoor's earrings. I always have a been a big fan of malaika arora's style and the way she carry herself is just fabulous.

Anushka Sharma
She looked poised in a Sabyasachi at the IIFA. Use of minimum accessories/jewelry made this saari even more glam. Its very simple, fresh yet chic.

Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chpra in Manish Malhotra's designed dress. She look so elegant and beautiful in the outfit. I specially like its lace work on the dress and the blue touch in the blouse.

Bipasha Basu
Bipasha Basu in Nude Ramona Narang dress.
She really had bad day in IIFA and had been found wearing same dresses that her co-actor's wearing

Dia Mirza
Dia is looking so beautiful in this Blumarine Maxi dress. Its so chic and beautiful in person  specially the neckline but i still feel like something is missing for the occasion. May be its accessories or something else.

 Lisa Ray
Lisa Ray was missing in this edgy but not fun dress with belts around the waist and shoulder. She look fab in a maroon grown, tribal esque necklace with colorful outfit and the   perfect hair do.

Neha Dhoopia
I loved Neha’s look on the green carpet. The Make-up, hair and polka-dots gown from Lanvin made for a great combination.

Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha in walked on green carpet in Alexander McQueen dress.Tan heels, McQueen clutch and red lips completed Sonakshi’s look but she could have picked up the better shoes.

Which one is your favourite?

As a Cook.

Lately i have been thinking about how i have grown up as a cook in last few years. If you have read here, i have been a tomboy till my graduation initial year and after that even i changed my look and style, i was or must say i am still a tomboy from heart. I hardly had cooked anything till my graduation(as i did my graduation from my home town and you always have the luxury of not doing anything and demanding more when you are at home). My mum and friends used to say that i cannot boil even water properly. Yes its true.I was a totally spoiled child and I really had bad, very very bad experiences whenever i tried something.
After the graduation i left home for the job in Mumbai and than realize how much i miss the home food. Thank god i got roommates like Latika and Sheetal  who are amazing cook and being in their company i also started cooking.I started with daal and rice and now i can prepare almost everything. This time when my parents visited us i prepared a few of my secret recipes, my mom was amazed how i got to learn all this cooking stuff. She knew that i generally cook but was not that sure that i can cook so well. Thank you so much girls. LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

Now its time for the home made spicy (Paneer) Veg Frankie that i  prepared last week. You can find the recipe on google but i still want to share it with you... ;)

Ingredients:
1. 1 medium Onion (finely diced)
2. 1-2 tomato (finely diced)
3. Garlic and Ginger  paste - 2 tbs
4. Green chilli - 2 (finely diced)
5. Cabbage- 60 gm (finely diced)
6. Paneer (Cheese ) cubes - 100 gm (optional)
7. Maida(Rice Flour) - 1 cup
8. Milk - ½ cup
9. Salt - As required
10 .Chilli powder - ½ tsp
11. Coriander powder - ½ tsp
12. Cumin powder - ½ tsp
13.
Cooking soda -¼ tsp
14. Butter - As required
15. garam masala - ½ tsp

Directions:
1. Mix maida, cooking soda, salt, in milk to form a batter and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
2. Heat butter in a frying pan, add ginger-garlic paste, green chilli and cook for 2 mins.
3. Add onion, tomato, Cabbage, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, some water and let the contents cook for some time.
4. add paneer if you want.
5. When the vegetables are cooked, remove the pan from the stove.
6. prepare small size chapati(bread ) from the dough and cook it for few seconds on both the sides(if should not get tight or crispy). Add some butter on both the sides.
7.Place the vegetable mixture in the chapati and roll it.
8. Wrap them in the tissue paper and serve Hot.

And Here comes the output of the recipe:

Every one has their own version of their recipe and we Indian (generally) loves spicy food. However you can update the recipe based on the availability of the vegetables and masala powders. Its really very flexible and taste yummmy..

So whats you guys doing over the weekend?
